A boutique holiday destination where stunning French countryside and authentic history meet a relaxed, family-friendly holiday home.

Together with our son Archie and smooth-haired fox terrier Farro, we (Matthew and Tamsyn) moved from the Cotswolds in the UK to take on this fantastic holiday business in the heart of rural France. We would love nothing more than for you to choose to come and stay at Le Coussol Haut this year, and it is our aim to help ensure your holiday is exactly what you wish it to be. Also known as The Bread Oven, the gîte sleeps up to six people. The beautifully restored French farmhouse sleeps up to eight people.

  • Le Coussol Haut (“The Top Cushion”) is perfectly placed on the hills above Saint-Antonin-Noble-Val, delivering spectacular views across the French countryside to the village of Verfeil sur Seye. It’s the ideal place for a relaxing escape, whether you choose to rest by the pool, or venture further afield to explore the surroundings’ offerings
  • There are two holiday homes available at Le Coussol Haut, the farmhouse and the gîte. In order to ensure our guests experience their perfect stay, we only allow one of these holiday homes to be booked at any one time, giving you private access to facilities including the pool, BBQ and gardens
  • We will always be on site for the duration of your stay and are more than happy to offer a helping hand should you need it, whether that be a lift somewhere, having breakfast ready for you or preparing your evening meal (complete with wine of course), or just a friendly chat. However, if it’s the tranquility of rural France you are seeking and you wish to be left to your own devices, you won’t even know we are there
  • Where we know it’s the finer details that really make your holiday special, whether that’s freshly ground artisan coffee, chilled rosé by the pool, a cycle tour of the local area, or having your favourite morning broadsheet to hand
